Cultural Events
Every year, Toyo Kohan holds lectures by famous people for people living in the local area. These events have been held since 2004 and they have included lectures by famous professional athletes and classic concerts. They are always popular with the residents.

Classic Concerts (Held in March 2008)
On March 21, 2008, we held a classic concert at the main hall of Starpia Kudamatsu (Kudamatsu Municipal Culture Hall) under the title, “Toyo Kohan Presents KRY ‘Classical Sunday’ Special Kyoko Yoshida Violin Concert - ‘The Worlds of Chihiro Iwasaki and Kyoko Yoshida.’” In this concert, violinist Kyoko Yoshida played while illustrations by the illustrated book author Chihiro Iwasaki were projected in the background. The theme of this concert was, “A Concert for Parents and Children,” and it was our hope that we could enrich the children's lives and tell them the importance of peace and life.
