Electro-galvanized Steel Sheet (Silver Top)
![]() |
A full lineup rich in functionality with a beautiful surface appearance, scratch proofing, processibility, coatability, solder wettability and electrical conductivity provided from 25 µm to 1.6 mm thicknesses!
Surface processed steel sheet used for various applications. Electro-galvanized sheet sheets occupy the greatest share among these. These electro-galvanized steel sheets are classified as hot dipped galvanized steel sheets and electro-galvanized steel sheets (JIS G3313 EG). Toyo Kohan's “Silver Top” is the leader of the electro-galvanized steel sheet field. Silver Top is equipped with a multitude of superb functions not seen in other types, is used in a wide range of applications since it was first manufactured in 1967, making it a well renowned product.
For example, it is used for designs from the beautiful appearance with a golden color covering the image of normal galvanized steel sheets to various cases, covers and panels. Galvanized steel sheets also provide the thinnest 25 µm ultra thin materials (SF) not seen in other types through superb pressure rolling technology, and contribute to reducing customer costs as a copper foil, nickel silver, phosphor bronze foil switchover. It is also actively used in a variety of conventional and other fields for greater yields and so forth because it offers scratch proofing and mechanical characteristics used for customer processes that enable press processing for small components.
In addition, the cost of stainless is rising due to the high cost of Ni in recent years. Therefore, we developed the “High Strength Silver Top” for various galvanizing of super strong steel sheets which provide spring and expandability as a switchover from stainless because the strength is much higher than normal cold rolled steel sheets. It is used to reduce costs in the electrical and electronic components field as an innovative material.
A variety of functions beyond common sense for electro-galvanized steel sheets.
