One of the basic management policies of our company is “Manufacturing products that are kind to the earth and to human in a safe manner”, and the Kudamatsu Plant has long been pursuing activities aimed at energy saving, resouｒce saving and recycling. In order to carry out these activities systematically and efficiently, we acquired the external ISO 14001 certification for our Environmental Management System (EMS) in December 1999, followed by the expansion of this system to the affiliates to acquire the certification as the Toyo Kohan Group in December 2004.
We continue to strive for more environmental protection, and to make our business activities that are in harmony with the environment.

The Toyo Kohan Group strongly recognizes that protection of the global environment and further, qualitative improvement of the global environment, are the most important common tasks for the human race, and is committed to contributing to the construction of society with an environmentally-sound material cycle with sustainable growth while continuing to give careful consideration to the environment in all aspects of its corporate activities.

Toyo Kohan Group EMS

In the group-comprehensive environmental management system, the environmental policies and environmental targets are discussed and decided upon in the group environment committee, and detailed environmental targets and programm are set up at each company in the group.
Further, in order to increase the efficiency of this system and to achieve continual improvement, internal audit on each environment secretariat of the companies is carried out, and are confirmed each status of operations and results of the group companies.
